Rush Oak Park Hospital in Illinois Names Dr. Brian Cole Chief of Surgery

Brian Cole, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and team physician for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox, was recently selected as the new chair of surgery for Rush Oak Park (Ill.) Hospital, according to a practice news release.

In his new position, Dr. Cole will head the surgical team at Rush Oak Park Hospital. He is also a professor in the department of orthopedics and section head of the Cartilage Research Program at Rush University Medical Center and the Cartilage Restoration Center at Rush in Chicago. Additionally, Dr. Cole is the head of the Orthopaedic Master’s Program and trains residents and fellows in sports medicine.

Dr. Cole earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago and completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. His additional training includes a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
