Richard Spiro, MD (Pennsylvania Brain & Spine Institute). Dr. Spiro is a spine surgeon at Pennsylvania Brain & Spine Institute. He was previously the director and chief of neurological spine surgery for the department of neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was also a liaison to the hospital’s Surgical Overnight Committee.

 

Dr. Spiro is a member of the North American Spine Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Physicians Against Violence.

 

Dr. Spiro earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama and completed his neurosurgery residency and complex spine surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
