Richard A. Balderston (Aria 3B Orthopaedic Institute, Philadelphia). Dr. Balderston has more than 30 years of experience in the field, having performed more than 5,000 procedures in his career. He was a leader in total disc replacement development and focuses on treating degenerative conditions.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Balderston is co-author of four medical textbooks and an international researcher in lumbar disc replacement.
Dr. Balderston earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. His additional training includes a fellowship in spinal deformity at the University of Minnesota.
