Here are four things to know:

1. Renew Spinal Care, a physician network focused on minimally invasive spine surgeons, retained a prominent national law firm and lobbying group in preparation for forming an MSO.

2. Renew is a member of Prime Health Services and Three Rivers Provider Network, which provide access to spine care for self-insured companies. “Renew’s approach is somewhat unique in that we are laying the groundwork for the capacity for the surgeons to service large contracts for self-insured companies and other significant patient population groups across the national geographical spectrum coast to coast through minimally invasive spine surgery,” said CEO Sam Bailey.

3. Surgeons affiliated with Renew perform minimally invasive procedures for a variety of back pain and spinal issues. Patients typically undergo outpatient procedures and return home the same day of surgery.

4. In April, Renew signed a strategic alliance agreement with SonoSpine to market and perform complementary minimally invasive spine surgeries and consulting services.
