Publisher’s Letter: January 2011

2010 was an interesting year for all areas of healthcare, including orthopedics and spine. The economy continued to struggle, Medicare’s scheduled sustainable growth rate underwent a number of delays but never received a permanent fix and healthcare reform brought a number of unprecedented changes to the industry. Despite these challenges, the practice of orthopedics and spine continued to more forward, and 2011 promises to be an interesting year on several fronts as well.
