Dr. Pomeranz said that while he is still unsure exactly how healthcare reform will affect his company, he believes small providers will always have a place in their communities. As long as the specialists have a high level of expertise and can offer services at a competitive price, the company should be able to survive healthcare reform.
Having an educational program at the facility, as ProScan does, is an indicator of a high level of expertise, he said in the report.
