Four things to know:
1. PrinterPrezz combines metal 3D-printing, nanotechnologies and surgical expertise to design and manufacture medical devices that can be brought to market faster.
2. The partnership will allow PrinterPrezz to tap into Growshapes’ 3D printing and scanning technology for manufacturing orthopedic implants.
3. “Scanning in medical parts created at PrinterPrezz with high resolution imaging allows us to test accuracy and find new avenues for innovation, said Shafkat Anwar, PrinterPrezz’s senior vice president of medical innovations. “By integrating imaging, design, modeling and 3D-printing, PrinterPrezz seeks to create patient-matched devices for improved clinical outcomes.”
4. PrinterPrezz opened its first 3D-printing nanotech innovation center in December 2018.
