Practitioners Should Rethink Opioid Prescribing to Reduce Addiction

Johns Hopkins researchers published an article, which said medical professionals need to rethink opioid prescribing to protect patients and overall public health, according to Health Canal.

The article states that, though there are measures in place to monitor the opioid abuse epidemic, there also needs to be a clinical shift in the widespread use of these medicines to succeed in reducing prescription drug abuse.
