Possible Data Breach May Have Affected Thousands in Minnesota Laptop Theft

Personal information on more than 14,000 patients from Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services and North Memorial in Robbinsdale, Minn., was stored on a laptop that was stolen in July, according to an ABC Eyewitness News report.

The laptop was stolen from a locked car in a restaurant parking lot on July 25 and included nearly 14,000 Fairview patients’ names, addresses and Social Security numbers.
