Specifically, MGMA members reported frustration about the lag time between reporting PQRI data and receiving the results, said MGMA President and CEO William Jessee, MD, in the press release.
Of responding physician practices that tried to participate in the 2008 PQRI, 48 percent were able to access their 2008 PQRI feedback report, a decline from the previous year. And 60 percent of those that did access their 2008 report were either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with the report’s presentation of the information. An even higher percentage, 67 percent, reported being dissatisfied with the 2008 report’s effectiveness in providing guidance for improving patient outcomes, according to the MGMA release.
