Here are five things to know:
1. Orthopedic surgeon Thomas R. Carter, MD, who joined the center in October, has served as the Suns’ head team physician for the past 18 years. Dr. Carter specializes in knee and shoulder surgery.
2. C. Dain Allred, MD, who joined the practice in October, serves alongside Dr. Carter as a team physician for the Suns. Dr. Allred specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy and shoulder, knee and ankle surgery.
3. Family and sports medicine physician Amy Overlin, MD, is head team physician for the Mercury.
4. Leah Brown, MD, serves alongside Dr. Overlin as a team physician for the Mercury. With expertise in sports medicine, Dr. Overlin has a special interest in treating knee, shoulder and elbow injuries.
5. Steward Health Care was named a Suns’ healthcare partner in 2017.
