The resident program will be supervised by Bayhealth’s orthopedic medical director and will consist of fourth-year residents who are skilled in orthopedics and orthopedic trauma.
Under the agreement, the two groups will share clinical techniques and evidence-based protocols in joint replacement, hip fracture, spine care and general fracture care. The Bayhealth orthopedic surgeons will also be able to transfer special cases to Penn surgeons. Bayhealth orthopedic surgeons will have full access to Penn Medicine teaching conferences and continuing education programs.
