New Orleans Pelicans’ Medical Director/Head Team Physician Misty Suri, MD, confirmed forward DeMarcus Cousins will miss the remainder of the year after rupturing his left Achilles tendon, the team reports.

1. Dr. Suri examined and diagnosed Mr. Cousins with the rupture. He ordered a follow-up MRI to confirm the extent of the damage.

 

2. Mr. Cousins will have the tendon surgically repaired and will miss the remainder of the season.
