Lori A. Karol, MD, received the Arthur H. Huene Memorial Award for excellence and promise in pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Karol is the medical director of the Movement Science Laboratory and medical director of performance improvement at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. She earned her medical degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and completed her residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She also completed the Harrington Fellowship of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis at TSRHC.
Klane K. White, MD, received the Angela S.M. Kuo Memorial Award for his study, titled “Intra-articular corticosteroid therapy in Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease: A randomized controlled clinical trial.” He is an orthopedic surgeon at Seattle Children’s Hospital. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California, San Diego, and a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas.
