Dr. Vakil received his medical degree from Philadelphia’s Thomas Jefferson University/Jefferson Medical College. He completed his internship at Drexel University College of Medicine and also completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the college. Dr. Vakil completed an adult joint reconstruction fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where he learned the anterior approach to hip replacement surgery, according to the release.
