The Ohio State Medical Board has finalized an emergency rule requiring 20 hours of Category 1 CME in pain medicine every two years, effective June 20.
In late May, Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed legislation requiring pain management clinics to obtain a license, limit the amount of controlled substances prescribed in a certain time frame and create a take-back program for unused drugs.
