OSU to Build $35M James Crane Sports Medicine Institute

The Ohio State University in Columbus intends to begin seeking architectural bids for the construction of its $35 million James Crane Sports Medicine Institute, according to a Columbus Business First report.

The sports medicine institute project will be funded by $10 million of the $13.5 million Crane Group donation and $10 million from the Wexner Medical Center’s annual capital budget. The university also plans to use a $15 million, 10-year loan to contribute to the project’s funding.

The university expects to break ground on the project in July 2014 and complete construction in 18 months.
