Dr. Elizondo earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio and the John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Elizondo is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
