Orthopedic Societies Honored for AAOS Extremities War Injuries Symposium

The American Society of Association Executives honored the AAOS Extremity War Injuries symposium with the “Power of A” Gold Award, signifying extraordinary contributions the association has made to society, according to AAOS Now.

The Gold Award is ASAE’s second-highest level of recognition, meant to highlight projects that show how associations make America and the world stronger, according to the report. AAOS partnered with the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, Orthopaedic Research Society and Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons to sponsor the EWI symposium.

The symposium focused on treatment and research for the extremity injuries military personnel receive on the battlefield.
