Over the past 90 years, Harrison has evolved from a small community hospital to the region’s busiest medical center. As chief of staff, Dr. Cromwell will work with a staff of 2,300 and a medical staff of 415.
Before coming to Harrison in 1977, Dr. Cromwell served as chief of orthopedics in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood in Texas. After earning a commendation medal, he decided to pursue orthopedics in a smaller community and eventually decided on Bremerton, the town he has called home for over 30 years.
When he moved to Bremerton to join Harrison, Dr. Cromwell also started his own orthopedic practice, Peninsula Orthopedics. The practice specializes in total joint replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery, hand procedures, rotator cuff repair and ACL reconstruction and services the entire Olympic peninsula.
Dr. Cromwell is an active member of his community and has been a member of the Bremerton Rotary Club since 1979. He received his MD from Baylor School of Medicine and completed an internship and orthopedic residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center.
