Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin Moves Into Larger Facility to Accommodate Growth

The Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin has moved into a larger replacement hospital next to the old facility in Glendale, Wis., according to the Business Journal of Milwaukee.

The new $30 million facility has 30 beds and 10 ORs, compared with 25 beds and six ORs at the old facility.

Surgical volume was threatening to exceed the capacity of the old facility, rising from 2,025 surgical procedures in 2001 to 5,390 last year.

The hospital is a partnership between physicians and four-hospital Columbia St. Mary’s Health System.
