Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles to Honor Dr. Russell Warren for Sports Medicine Excellence

The Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles will award several individuals for their work in the field at an anniversary gala fundraiser in November, according to an organization report published in Connecticut Plus.

Russell Warren, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and former surgeon-in-chief at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, will receive the excellence in sports medicine award. Dr. Warren was also the team physician for the New York Giants for 20 years.

Additional honorees will be John M. Bader, chairman and chief investment officer of Halcyon Asset Management, who will receive the award for embodying the spirit of an active lifestyle, and Martha Stewart, who will receive the leadership award for non-profit philanthropy.
