The event was expanded from one day to an entire week this year to allow for more hospital, surgeon and patient participation.
This is the third year for Operation Walk USA, and nearly 300 patients have received new knees and hips through the event.
“Helping someone to walk again, and to return to a life without pain, is indeed a cause worth celebrating,” said Adolph V. Lombardi, Jr., MD, president of Operation Walk USA, in the news release.
