Operating Room Device to Know: Diamond Blade Cleaning System From Micro-Scientific

The Diamond Blade Cleaning System is used for cleaning tissue and other debris from surfaces of diamond scalpel blades prior to sterilization. The system is made from soft foam-like material and includes Opti-Kleen instrument cleaning detergent to loosen proteins and other deposits. When combined with USP-grade filtered rinse water, the blades can be successfully cleaned.

The blade is inserted into the soft scrubbing pad and maneuvered in a cutting-like fashion to allow the cleaning and removal of debris into the pad.
