The endowment, donated in memory of Hanna Rice by Robert and Judy Rice, was a result of Dr. Kepley’s orthopedic work performed on Ms. Hanna Rice 17 years ago. It will allow doctors-in-training at the Summa Health System’s orthopedic residency program to conduct research.

Dr. Kepley expects the fellowship program to attract top orthopedic surgeons, according to the news report.
The fellowship is directed primarily to total hip and knee replacement projects, which are Dr. Kepley’s specialty.
