The bill requires athletes who experience brain-related injury to receive clearance by a licensed healthcare provider before returning to play. The bill also requires certified coaches to undergo brain injury and brain injury management courses.
In addition to the coach and player requirements, the bill requires parents to review an information sheet about brain injuries before allowing their children to play.
