Ochsner Hospital Orthopedic Surgeons Perform Knee Surgery on Saints Coach Sean Payton

Deryk Jones, MD, team physician for the New Orleans Saints, said a team of physicians at Ochsner Hospital that performed knee surgery on Saints Coach Sean Payton, according to a report from WWL TV.

Mr. Payton injured his knee during a game when a player was pushed out of bounds and rolled under his knee. An X-ray at half time confirmed a meniscus issue, and the surgeons spent three hours performing surgery to repair it.

Mr. Payton is expected to return to the office this week and spend three to six months recovering from the procedure.
