Here are five highlights:
1. The ProTech is an outer-shell football helmet product that uses superior head protection technology.
2. The product has been 15 years in the making, and DYH has been using the last three years to refine and test its proprietary technology.
3. The DYH team is made up of sports technology, medical and business leaders.
4. To date, 120 Division I universities and high schools have committed to utilizing the technology in the coming year, and The College of the Holy Cross and Western Carolina University have already begun using the ProTech in practice.
5. GE design engineer Bert Straus created the original product, and Richard Nelson, MD, founder of Pennsylvania State University’s biomechanics laboratory, along with his team first recognized and validated ProTech’s soft shell technology.
