Hill Physicians represents some 3,000 physicians in the Bay Area, Sacramento and the Central Valley, while PIMG, in Brisbane, Calif., represents 500 physicians in San Francisco and San Mateo County.
Under the plan, PIMG would merge into the Hill group and stop operating independently by mid-year. About a third of PIMG’s physicians already have a medical group affiliation with Hill, according to the story.
