John Nosek, executive director of Greensboro Orthopaedics, said the 18-physician practice would realize the savings from lower rents and by trimming a few clerical positions from it 150-member workforce because they won’t be needed at one site.
Specifically, the practice will shift 25,000 feet of space from a building it constructed 18 years ago to a site it initially moved into in 2004, where it already has 30,000 square feet of space.
Mr. Nosek said the practice had been planning change for a couple of years in reaction to threatened cuts in Medicare reimbursements.
