The research grants will be given based on recommendations from the organization’s Scientific Advisory Committee. The organization has given more than $4 million to concussion-related research since 1995.
The group is considering the development of new standards for youth football helmets, women’s lacrosse helmet/head protection and defensive position head/face protection for baseball and softball.
