Nicholas Theodore, MD (Barrow Neurological Institute). Dr. Theodore is the director of neurotrauma and the neurotrauma spine program at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is also the associate director of the neurosurgery residency program, a position he’s held since 2004, where he trains four residents per academic year. He has a special interest in brain and spinal cord injury, minimally invasive spine surgery and robotics.
Dr. Theodore also serves as an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant to the National Football League and a team neurosurgeon for the Arizona Cardinals. He was previously the chief of the neurosurgery division at Naval Medical Center in San Diego and served as senior general medical officer with the United States Marine Corps in Japan.
Dr. Theodore earned his medical degree at Georgetown University and completed his neurosurgical residency and fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute.
