NFL medical adviser encouraged by NFL’s concussion research: 4 discussion points

NFL Chief Medical Adviser Betsy Nabel, MD, reported the league is moving in the right direction with concussion research, according to GoErie.com.

1. Dr. Nabel said the NFL should continue investing in research to advance player safety.

3. Others criticize the NFL’s slow progress in concussion research.

 

4. In 2015, the NFL documented 271 concussions, a record number of concussions, which was a 65 percent increase over 2014.
