Dr. McCrory, an academic and physician specializing in sports neurology, resigned as chair of the Concussion in Sport Group in March following initial allegations related to an article on warmups.

Since his resignation, he was accused of copying material in other articles without attribution. He has also been the subject of investigations by the Australian Football League.

The British Journal of Sports Medicine retracted an article Dr. McCrory wrote, according to a statement.
