New Jersey Nets’ Deron Williams Receives Wrist Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery

Andrew Weiland, MD, a hand specialist at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and New Jersey Nets head team physician Riley Williams, III, MD, recently performed wrist surgery on Nets player Deron Williams, according to a New York Post news report.

The surgery removed bony fragments and scar tissue from Mr. Williams’ wrist. Dr. Williams predicted Mr. Williams will be able to begin rehabilitation in two weeks and return to basketball after six to eight weeks.
