New Jersey Nets’ Brook Lopez Undergoes Right Arm Procedure at Hospital for Special Surgery

Riley Williams, MD, team physician for the New Jersey Nets, and Andrew Weiland, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, recently performed surgery on Nets center Brook Lopez to remove calcium deposits and a bone mass in his upper right arm, according to a New York Post report.

Mr. Lopez experienced discomfort from the bony lump on his arm that developed after he was hit earlier this year. The surgery was successful and Mr. Lopez will begin rehabilitation in one week. He is expected to return to basketball in approximately six weeks.
