Reportedly the only training institute of its kind, the American Institute of Medical Sales in Bartlett, Tenn., teaches sales people from other industries the skills needed to demonstrate orthopedics devices to orthopedic surgeons and their staff.
The institute teaches biology, trains enrollees on human cadavers and puts them in a mock operating room where they learn to scrub in before surgery and work on orthopedic devices.
