Dr. Blitzer regularly travels abroad to provide orthopedic services in developing countries. He has traveled to Malawi, Haiti, Bhutan and others to provide care for underprivileged citizens at his own expense, according to the report. Dr. Blitzer has been president of the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Society and New Hampshire Medical Society, as well as on the board of councilors for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
