The Northeast Ohio region has added at least six neurostimulation companies since 2005, and two have sold for a combined $120 million. Case Western Reserve University is also housing two budding startups.
Just last week, Neuros Medical in Willoughby received a $3.5 million investment from Boston Scientific. Neuros is currently testing and developing an electrical stimulation system to treat chronic pain.
