Naval Medical Center San Diego Re-Opens Orthopedics Department

The Naval Medical Center San Diego has re-opened its orthopedics surgery department after a four-phase, $2.5 million renovation project, according to an article by NMCSD.

Over 17,000 square feet of space was completely refurbished during the project, with improvements including new floors, remodeled exam rooms and improvements to the lobby and waiting area, according to the article.

NMCSD also added an orthopedic library and conference room, an 800 square-foot space featuring four large flat screen monitors with integrated video capability into surgical suites in the main operating room as well as direct video feeds to off-site branch medical clinics.
