MTS Systems is helping Nexxt Spine develop porous 3D-printed titanium spinal implants.

MTS Systems is a supplier of test systems, motion simulators and sensors. Nexxt Spine is using MTS material test systems to develop spinal implants that facilitate bone healing.

“We’ve immersed ourselves in the additive manufacturing space completely and positioned our future business focus as pioneers in the design and development of spinal fusion implants that incorporate interlaced micro-lattice architectures with the goal of promoting osteoconduction, osteointegration and bony fusion,” said Nexxt Spine’s engineering director Alaedeen Abu-Mulaweh.
