Mount Sinai Health System neurosurgeon uses Modus V: 3 notes

Neurosurgeon Constantinos Hadjipanayis, MD, PhD, recently used the Modus V in a glioma removal surgery at the New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System.

Here are three things to know.

1. The Modus V is the cornerstone of Synaptive Medical’s BrightMatter platform, which integrates navigation, robotic automation, a digital microscope and data analytics.

2. The Modus V is a robotically controlled digital microscope designed to provide enhanced visualization in the operating room. The system features a robotic arm with a high-definition camera that projects digital neuroanatomical images.

3. The system is designed to be an alternative to the traditional operating microscope.
