Mobius Imaging received FDA 510(k) clearance April 24 for its Airo Mobile CT Imaging System for pediatric applications.

Here are three things to know.

1. In 2013, the Airo Mobile CT Imaging System received 510(k) clearance for non-pediatric imaging. It is often used for neurospine surgical procedures.

2. According to Gene Gregerson, CEO of Mobius Imaging, there is an unmet need for safe and reliable CT imaging for pediatric patients.

3. In addition to surgical imaging, Airo CT imaging can be used to support applications in radiation therapy and brachytherapy.
