Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush’s Dr. Gregory Nicholson: Cross Train to Prevent Youth Athlete Overuse Injuries

Gregory Nicholson, MD, a sports medicine specialist at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, recently spoke with ABC7 News about overuse injuries in youth athletes, according to a practice news release.

Dr. Nicholson attributed the increase in injuries to athletes who participate in a single sport all year round. He recommended taking three or four months away from the sport and cross train with another sport.
