Michigan hospital names Dr. Matt Jackson sports medicine director

Frankfort, Mich.-based Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital appointed Matt Jackson, DO, as sports medicine director, according to the Traverse City Record Eagle.

Dr. Jackson is a board-certified sports medicine physician. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Vallejo-based Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He previously served as medical director and head team physician for Mount Pleasant-based Central Michigan University Athletics. As sports medicine director at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital, Dr. Jackson aims to increase awareness of concussion prevention.
