Mercer University School of Medicine Names Dr. Jack Powell, III Chairman

Jack Powell, III MD, has been named the chair of the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga., according to a Times-Herald report.

Dr. Powell practices orthopedics at Georgia Bone and Joint in Newnan. He has served in many roles with the Olympic Games during his career. Dr. Powell earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta.
