Here are five takeaways:
1. The joint venture consists of 34 outpatient medical imaging centers. RadNet will provide 24 outpatient imaging centers and MemorialCare will provide the remaining 10 for the collaboration.
2. RadNet and MemorialCare will continue to manage day to day operations of their own facilities while also providing administration and back office support.
3. The two sought out the partnership to improve operating system efficiencies as well as improve patient access and care.
4. All locations will be equipped with RadNet’s eRad Radiology Information System beginning Jan. 1, 2018.
5. MemorialCare will also acquire RadNet’s five breast imaging centers to expand screenings and diagnostic services. Currently, MemorialCare has five breast imaging centers.
