The system is used in conjunction with Medtronic’s PYRAMESH C Surgical Titanium Mesh and provides increased surface area and end-plate contact to help decrease the risk of dislodging post operatively, according to the release. The system features multiple end cap angles and a variety of sizes to accommodate a patient’s individual anatomy.

Medtronic is also announcing the launch of a new Round Mesh Cutter along with the T2 SCEPTOR system.

The T2 SCEPTOR system must be used with PYRAMESH C Titanium centerpieces and with additional anterior or posterior spinal instrumentation to augment stability, according to the release.
