Medicare Part B Receives Highest Rating in MGMA Poll on Practices’ Satisfaction with Payors

A poll of members of the Medical Group Management Association gave Medicare Part B the highest marks of all major nationwide payors in key performance indicators, according to a release from MGMA.

MGMA members, representing physician group practices, gave Medicare Part B the highest marks on responsiveness, transparency, prompt payment and overall satisfaction with general administrative functions, even though Medicare consistently pays less than private insurers.

In overall satisfaction, other major payors placed behind Medicare Part B in the following order: Aetna, Cigna, Coventry, Humana, Anthem and UnitedHealthcare.
