Healthcare industry leaders have condemned the cuts, according to the report, and the sequester reductions could result in $11 billion in lost revenue to providers who accept Medicare. An American Medical Association, American Hospital Association and American Nurses Association report found that the cuts could also mean 766,000 lost jobs in healthcare by 2021.
The possibility remains for a retroactive solution for sequestration.
